In the summer of 2021, Jean-Louis embarked on writing the continuation of An Angel Named Gabriel, aiming to have the book completed by the autumn of 2022. Unfortunately, health issues and various other reasons caused significant delays in the project. However, in the autumn of 2023, the work is back on track, and there’s a plan to finish it no later than the summer of 2024. The book is originally written in Norwegian and will eventually be translated into English. It bears the tentative Norwegian title, Selma. The protagonist remains the same as before, the nature photographer Gabriel Dahl, who once again stumbles upon an abused and neglected girl. Tragically, this time, she is deceased, and Gabriel has taken it upon himself to uncover the truth behind her demise.
